Biden speaks with Zelensky as US warns of war — RT Russia & Former Soviet Union

President Biden told his Ukrainian counterpart that the US will respond “decisively” to potential “Russian aggression”

Talks between US President Joe Biden, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zlensky lasted just over an hour. Biden assured that the US would return their call “swiftly and decisively”Any Russian military action. Biden, however, hasn’t forgotten his pledge to not send US troops to Ukraine.

A White House readingout of the conversation shows that it was successful “President Biden reaffirmed the commitment of the United States to Ukraine’s sovereignty territorial integrity,” and “made clear that the United States would respond swiftly and decisively, together with its Allies and partners, to any further Russian aggression against Ukraine.”

The call signals no change in the US’ posture, which is that in the event of military action by Russia, economic sanctions, and not military intervention, will be Washington’s weapon of choice.
