Biden reveals US’ goal in Ukraine  — Analysis

According to the US President, Washington will support Kiev in its efforts to overthrow Moscow

Moscow must be hurt “a strategic failure”The US President Joe Biden made these remarks during the military campaign in Ukraine.  

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “assault on Ukraine is a challenge to the peace and stability everywhere in the world,”Biden made the following statements to journalists during Thursday’s trip to Jerusalem. 

Biden also pledged to support Kiev. “The free world must sustain a resolve to help Ukraine defend its democracy,”He said.

Axios reported, citing US officials that Biden asked Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lepid for more military assistance to Ukraine.

This week, the Israeli government declared that it will send to Ukraine helmets, flak jackets gas masks, and other protective gear. Israel has not yet imposed sanctions against Moscow or supplied Kiev offensive weapons.

US providing Kiev with intelligence on Donbass targets – Moscow

Putin insists that he was speaking at the St. Petersburg economic forum last month. “all of the objectives of [Russia’s] military operation will be accomplished.”

Putin spoke at the last government meeting: “We’re hearing today that they want to defeat us on the battlefield. Let’s see, they can try. They can try.” 

Russia sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, citing Kiev’s failure to implement the Minsk agreements, designed to give the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state. These protocols, which were brokered by France and Germany, were signed for first time in 2014. Former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko has since admitted that Kiev’s main goal was to use the ceasefire to buy time and “create powerful armed forces.” 

In February 2022 the Kremlin acknowledged the Donbass republics to be independent states. They demanded Ukraine declare its neutrality and refuse any Western military alliances. Kiev maintains that Russia’s offensive was not provoked.
