RT Creative Lab takes Gold at world’s only prize for creativity judged by journalists — Analysis
Epica 2021 has awarded RT Creative Lab Gold for their project #VictoryPages. This is a social media history project dedicated to defeating Nazism during World War II. This is the second consecutive year that RT Creative Lab won the top prize.
#VictoryPages: Social Media History took the only Gold in the ‘Social Networks’ category this year. Amazon Prime and Wunderman Thompson were also Silver and Bronze winner in this category.

From 64 countries, 3,184 Epica Awards entries were received in 2021. The shortlist included only 15% of the entries, and 69 received the Gold award. It’s a dramatic increase on the difficult year before (1,980 entries) and close to the 2019 level. USA (206) was followed by Germany (200). McCann Worldgroup and BBDO were the most represented networks. Wunderman Thompson was also well represented.
Epica, which was established in 1987, is an exclusive prize that has been judged by 200 media professionals, senior editors, and top journalists. It comes from more than 50 countries including Adweek Magazine, Campaign Magazines, Forbes Magazine, Business Insider, Adobo Magazines, Adweek Magazine, Adobo Magazines, Forbes Magazine, Business Insider etc.
In 2017, RT’s #1917LIVE took two Epica Bronze awards for ‘Social Networks’ and ‘Media’. In 2019, RT’s AR album of the #Romanovs100 multimedia project won Silver in the Virtual/Augmented Reality category at the Epica Awards. In 2020, #VictoryPages took Gold, Silver & Bronze at Epica.
#VictoryPages is an extensive multi-platform digital project devoted to the 75 year anniversary of Nazism’s defeat. The project tells WWII’s story using digital art and media on five platforms. TwitterInstagram, Facebook and YouTube. Numerous honors have been given to different series of #VictoryPages, such as Webby Awards and Clio Awards.
