Natural Hearing Support

Your hearing is so important. You want to do all you can to keep your ears healthy, so they provide you with the sensory input you need to hear music, your loved one’s voices and so much more.

If you begin experiencing hearing loss, you will want to speak to your doctor right away. He or she will recommend remedies that can range from natural treatments to in office and surgical procedures. This article will review means of natural hearing support and other remedies.

What are the Types of Hearing Loss?

There are three main types of hearing loss. These are as follows:

·  Sensorineural: This is the most common type of hearing loss. It is a permanent hearing loss that occurs when the auditory nerve or cilia in the ear becomes damaged.

·  Conductive: Conductive hearing loss is caused by damage to the inner or middle ear. It prevents sound from being conducted to the inner ear. It can be temporary or permanent.

·  Mixed: Mixed hearing loss is a combination of sensorineural and conductive hearing loss. An example is when the hearing loss is complicated by wax impaction.

Natural Hearing Support

While some types of hearing loss will require surgical procedures such as a cochlear implant, the surgical removal of a foreign object in the ear or procedures that reshape the ear, there are also natural treatments that may be effective. Here are some to consider.

Ginger Tea: Ginger tea is said to improve hearing. It may relieve pressure levels in the ear that trigger tinnitus. For best results, drink three times a day for three weeks.

Ginkgo Biloba Extract: Natural health experts claim that taking a daily dose of 60 to 240 milligrams of ginkgo biloba can help with tinnitus and other forms of hearing loss.

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil has been said to aid with hearing loss but it’s best to speak to a doctor before trying this treatment. It involves mixing and heating:

·  3 drops of tea tree oil

·  1 tsp. colloidal vinegar

·  2 tbsp olive oil

·  1 tsp. apple cider vinegar

Once mixed and heated, place the solution in your ear and sit still for 5 minutes. It is believed that if you use the treatments four times a day for two days, you will start seeing (or hearing) improvements.

Cajeput Essential Oil: Some believe that cajeput essential oil may naturally reverse hearing loss. Massage a few drops behind and in front of your ears for optimal results.

Supplements for Natural Hearing Support
