Footage captures boxing legend standing motionless, while man confronts him with a pistol and at comedy club
Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight boxing champ was not intimidated by an assailant who demanded he fight him at a Hollywood comedy club. Tyson remained motionless as the man pulled out a gun from his waistband.
The viral clip shows Tyson being confronted by an unknown man who interrupts the comedy routine and stands in front of him. Tyson is sitting at the table in the front row. As the guy is heard saying, “I want to upgrade my status. You’re all that I need. All I need is you.”
Tyson, who is shown behind the curtain, has no apparent reaction when the challenger talks to him or makes gestures. A bigger man approaches and orders the individual to move off. After pulling out a gun, the assailant turns off the camera and clubs goers hide under tables.
Tyson sits still and waits patiently for the stranger to move towards him. Tyson walks towards the man, asking him to not call the cops. Boxing’s legend opens his arms and hugs the man. After the hug, the man shakes Tyson’s hand and gives a salute before walking away.
TMZ reported that the incident took place on Tuesday night in a Hollywood bar. It was remarkable to see how Tyson remained calm throughout the incident and kept it from getting worse.
