Jio Partners With Microsoft For Innovative and Developed Cloud Solutions

Reliance Industries (RIL) announced a partnership with the subsidiary Reliance Jio Infocomm with Bill Gates’ Microsoft for new technology and innovative solutions. These innovative solutions include the creation of cloud solutions as well. According to partnership solutions, Reliance Jio will exploit the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to develop innovative cloud solutions focused on the development of Indian businesses. Jio has also planned to set up its data center across India that will consist of the next-generation compute, storage, and networking capabilities. Along with that, Microsoft will arrange their Azure platform in those new data centers to support Jio’s latest offerings.

A statement daily said in a report, “The first two data centers, which can house IT equipment consuming up to 7.5 MW of power, are being set up in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. These are targeted to be fully operational in the calendar year 2020.” “Jio’s connectivity infrastructure that aims to connect everyone, everything, everywhere will promote the adoption of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform within its growing ecosystem of startups, as part of Jio’s cloud-first strategy,“- it added.

Moreover, Jio is also planning to offer its workforce with their cloud-based productivity and their collaboration tools available with Microsoft 365. It will also migrate its non-network applications to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, as per the information possible.

On the other hand, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft said, “The combination of Jio’s leading connectivity and digital solutions with Azure, Azure AI and Office 365 will bring powerful tools and platforms for compute, storage, productivity and more to millions of businesses in the country.
