What are you doing today ? What do you think the future will look like? *

At 90 years old I’m healthy and strong! I spoke with a medium once who informed me that I’ll live until the age of 102! I’d like to write another book in the coming months. I’m also looking to work with someone younger who could teach and help me run around to do the rezoning work.

Through starting the business Have you learned something that was particularly useful or beneficial? *

I’ve learned a lot in my long experience of rezoning homes. Most people are in the wrong areas when looking for property to develop or buy. Instead look for areas that are undeveloped and underdeveloped.

What platform/tools are you using to run your business? *

I do not utilize any platforms/tools for my business. I rely on my people skills, my ability to recognize opportunities and take advantage of them whenever I spot opportunities. My ability to network with others and genuine willingness to help those around me are my tools and platform.

What have been the most influential books, podcasts, books, or other sources?

I have loved reading since an early age. Freud, Russian novels come to my mind. In terms of his profession I do not believe that you require books. In the beginning, I met a great real estate person who was much older than me. He taught me many things about the real estate industry. I also bought a property from him, which was a win-win.

Tips for other entrepreneurs who want to start or are just getting started?

Find someone who works in real estate. If you do not know anyone, contact some people and get familiar with them in order to determine what kind of match. Make it a win-win situation, where you can learn from them , and you can help them as well. Also, don’t stick to the traditional ways of doing things.

What’s your background story as well as how you came up with the idea? *

I was raised in Jerusalem. From a young age I was fascinated by religion and enjoyed the tale of how Paul/Saul took the city and developed it. I’ve also been interested in electronics. I even had an uncle who lived in New Jersey who could help me. I moved to the U.S., and after getting my degree, I got a job in electronics. In this position, I assisted in the reprocessing of an operational device that produced one unit to 24 units. It was these two situations that stand out in my memory where I saw that I could use something to improve it thus increasing its production, productivity and how it could help others.

Describe the process of starting the business. *

Rezoning involves a number of primary steps. First, research a piece of land to be purchased to be rezonable by researching the kind of property it is, the types of schools located in the area, the proximity of businesses and so on. Next step is to attend city meetings and to meet people such as councilman, the mayor, the neighbors. If you can meet these individuals beforehand and help them to achieve their goals, they may be more inclined to aid you. As an example, I bought the 20-acre property on a budget because there was an incinerator in the vicinity. By building a high wall and beautifying the property, I was able conceal the things that most people find ugly. I then talked with neighbors for their consent by taking 1 acre of property to increase the size of their property.

Since your launch, what’s done to get and keep customers? (or from other investors/companies that will)*

It’s the ability to connect with others, especially with women that has helped me in my career and in life. I’m a pleasant person who’s always been a fan of people. I was raised this way and it wasn’t something that was learned to me. I also am a fan of charity work and like helping others who are less fortunate.
