DALLAS, February 19

Ten teens were gunned down at a Dallas spring break party. Many others suffered injuries trying to flee from the chaos. An 18-year old man was one of those injured and later succumbed to his injuries. The shooting took place at The Space Dallas. Joe Morgan was an event control worker and said that he heard shots being fired outside and then saw victims with gunshot wounds in their chests, arms, and legs.

Gunfire was used to spray innocent passers-by, including children. Two of the victims were younger than 2, Arkansas State Police Col. Bill Bryant explained.

DALLAS, 3 April

Gunfire from a concert on an outdoor field resulted in one death and fifteen injuries. According to Eddie Garcia, the Dallas Police Chief, these victims were aged 13-29 years old. One person fired a gun into the air, then an argument broke out and another person fired in the crowd’s direction, Garcia said. The event didn’t have a permit, he said.

SACRAMENTO (California), April 3

Sacramento Police said that six people died and twelve were injured in gunfight between five rival gang members outside bars just blocks away from the Capitol. As terrified people fled for their lives, more than 100 gunshots were heard through the streets. Some others were also hit with bullets. The police said that they could identify at least five gunmen but it’s possible there might have been many more. According to police, at most two gangs were involved.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, April 10

Cedar Rapids saw a shooting at a nightclub that was packed. One man and one woman were killed and 10 more were injured in the incident. Police said that more than 100 people were in the Taboo Nightclub & Lounge when the shooting occurred. NEW YORK CITY, April 12

Ten commuters were injured when a gunman opened fire on a Brooklyn subway car. The train car was also damaged by the smoke bombs. After a 30-hour manhunt, police arrested a suspect near a McDonald’s on Manhattan’s Lower East Side after a tip led them there. YouTube videos were part of evidence. The suspect was ranting about racism, violence, and his mental health struggles.

COLUMBIA South Carolina April 16

A gunman opened fire at a busy shopping mall in South Carolina’s capital city, wounding nine people, police said. Five others were also injured as they tried to escape the Columbiana Centre. Columbia Police Chief W.H. said that although the victims were ranging in age between 15 and 73 years old, none of them sustained injuries which could be considered serious. “Skip” Holbrook said Saturday. Investigators think the people responsible are close friends, so others weren’t hurt when they shot at each other.
