Château Le Rosey is scheduled for online auction October 7-12 and will sell with no reserve to the highest bidder. It is listed for CHF 35 million ($37.7 million).
The property is in the heart of the Lake Léman region and was built at the start of the 13th century. The estate has been completely restored with modern amenities while retaining its historical charm while the winery has produced award-winning varietals.

In 2018, three of its varietals, garanoir, garanoir barrique, and gamaret barrique earned the highly sought-after 1er Grand Cru designation.
The vineyard features some vines which are 40 years old and is planted at a density of 6,000 vines per hectare in clay-limestone soil, a mix of sandy and gravelly material that is light to medium-light in color. The vineyard rests on a gentle slope of 430-470 meters above sea level.
The complete wine-making process is done at the on-site winery, providing the owners with control over processes and techniques. Stainless steel tanks allow for precise temperature control and optimal aroma and color extraction. French oak barrels are lightly toasted, allowing for the wine to age gracefully.
The property is halfway between Geneva and Lausanne and overlooks the village of Bursins. The property stretches toward the wooded Jura foothills and includes panoramic views of one of the largest lakes in Western Europe, the Alps, and Mont Blanc. Geneva, with its rich history, is just 30 minutes away and features a vibrant modern city with cultural opportunities, dining, and shopping.
