Stadium crashes, killing at least five, dozens injured (VIDEOS) — Analysis
A whole section of a Colombian bullfighting arena was destroyed.
After a wooden bullfighting venue collapsed in El Espinal Colombia, at least 4 people were killed and 60 others sustained injuries on Sunday, approximately 60 people are still injured. A bull ran free from the scene of all the chaos and ran into the streets.
Video footage captured the collapse on video, which included footage of the wooden building crashing to Earth. Moments before the catastrophe, performers were taunting bulls.

El Tiempo (a Colombian news website) reported that at most five people had been killed and that more than 60 were injured. It cautioned, however, that no exact numbers have yet been released by authorities.
According to the news website, panic erupted when a bull ran into El Espinal’s streets after the collapse.
While bullfighting in Colombia is prohibited in some municipalities, shows are held in El Espinal and other rural areas. These shows are usually held in poorly constructed venues.
Soon after the tragedy, Gustavo Petro, Colombia’s President-elect, called upon mayors “not to authorize more shows with the death of people or animals.”
