After his cable car snapped, and crashed to the ground, a Czech driver was killed. 15 persons were trapped inside a second cable car. Firefighters responded quickly to their call to save them.
Cable car fell from its cable in Jested, northern Czech Republic. A local television broadcaster captured the scene and showed the car damaged lying on the ground beneath the cable road. There were multiple emergency vehicles at the scene.

A spokesperson for the rescue agency said that one person died in the accident. The cable car crashed on Monday was supposed to be on 12-day maintenance.
“One cabin fell while on its way down. There was one person inside, who unfortunately succumbed to their injuries,”Michael Georgiev spoke for local media.
Some 15 people were left stranded on the second cable car, which stopped halfway after the first crashed. The passengers and the car’s driver were rescued by emergency workers, who deployed a fire truck with a ladder to get them to the ground.
“Fortunately, the other cabin stayed in its normal place, some 15 people were evacuated, they should be without injuries, just suffered mental shock,”The spokesman said that they added.
A cable car that was traveling near Italy’s Mottarone mountain crashed into the ground earlier this year. One child aged five survived the crash, which resulted in the deaths of 14 passengers.
