Jill Biden contracts ‘rebound’ Covid case

According to the White House, President Joe Biden has continued to be negative for the virus.

Jill Biden, First Lady of the United States has tested positive again for coronavirus. She came down with an asymptomatic infection. “rebound”Infection occurred just days following her recovery from Covid and she was released from voluntary quarantine.

The first lady’s deputy communications director Kelsey Donohue announced the news on Wednesday, saying that despite testing negative for the virus the day prior, Biden had since come up positive on an antigen screening, calling it a “rebound” case.

“The first lady has experienced no reemergence of symptoms, and will remain in Delaware where she has reinitiated isolation procedures,”Donohue added that the White House Medical Unit had traced her contacts, and notified those who were close to her.

After first contracting Covid-19 in mid-August, Biden’s office said she had tested negative multiple times and would end a period of isolation on Sunday, when she left South Carolina to join the president in their home state of Delaware. 

The 71 year-old First Lady was kept in South Carolina quarantine for five days, while she suffered from a severe cold. “cold-like symptoms,”Even though they received four doses of vaccines and two booster shots, the patient still had to be immunized. 

In July, President Biden tested positive for Covid. He later received a similar test. “rebound”His doctor attested that the Paxlovid antiviral drug was responsible for his case. Although the initial treatment was the same, the White House has yet to link her second case with the drug.
