Israeli police kill alleged Palestinian stabber in Jerusalem

Israel captured east Jerusalem and the West Bank in the 1967 Mideast war. It is the heart of the long-running Israeli-Palestinian dispute. Palestinians desire east Jerusalem as the capital for a new independent state.
