Israel military ‘pimped’ correctional officers to terrorists – prison chief — Analysis
Prison commanders have reopened allegations that Israeli female prisoners were sexually assaulted by terrorists, in order to get leverage and persuade confessions.
Freddy Ben Shitrit, Gilboa Prison Commander, confirmed reports that female soldiers in Israel Defense Forces (IDF), were at high risk for sexual assault. This was in order to get confessions from Palestinian terrorist suspects.
According to the commander, prison chiefs were responsible for maintaining order in their cells. “pimped soldiers”And “handed over female soldiers to terrorists for sexual purposes.”
“The pimping incident was a massive incident,”He concluded.

The alleged ‘pimping’ of female soldiers for the purpose of obtaining information from prisoners happened before Ben Shitrit served as warden in the prison. Speaking to a government panel about the failures which led to six Palestinian prisoners being incarcerated in Gilboa prison earlier in this year, the commander said so.
Channel 20 reported the claims in 2018. The abuses allegedly involved at least three female soldiers.
According to one soldier, she was told by prison officials that she was to follow a Palestinian terrorist, Muhammad Atallah, around the facility. Atallah gave him numerous opportunities to attack her and even touched her stomach.
Reacting to Ben Shitrit’s comments on Thursday, Public Security Minister Omer Bar Lev asked the attorney general to open an investigation into the claims. According to Bar Lev, Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai has launched an inquiry into the matter following Wednesday’s testimony.
