US warns Iran Nuclear Deal talks are in ‘critical phase’ but claims window for diplomacy ‘is never going to be closed’ — RT World News

Robert Malley (US Special Representative for Iran) has expressed America’s concern about Iran’s nuclear development and declared that negotiations to revive the 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal were in an important phase.

On Monday Malley spoke to reporters and described Washington’s strategy for nuclear talks with Iran. This is as Western countries seek to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action after Donald Trump unilaterally pulled out of the agreement in 2018.

Malley visited the Middle East last week to engage in talks on the matter in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar before visiting Europe to meet with senior diplomats from most of the signatories of the original accord, France, Germany and the UK.

After his talks, the US Envoy stated that nuke negotiations are possible “At a critical stage”Malley says Iran must choose whether to continue to derail talks or return to the table with unreasonable demands. Or, he can work with the signatories in order to revive the accord.

While saying that is a “growing concern over the pace and direction of Iran’s nuclear progress,” the diplomat reiterated:“The window of diplomacy will never be shut.”
