TIME Studios’ jeen-yuhs Earns 74th Primetime Emmy Nomination

TIME Studios President Ian Orefice sent Tuesday’s following message to his staff:

We are all grateful.

I am delighted to share that TIME Studios’ jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy has received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Documentary Series. In September will be revealed the names of the Primetime Emmy Award winners.

This marks TIME’s tenth Emmy nomination, and third Primetime Emmy nomination in recent years.

Coodie and Chike are renowned directors and producers. jeen-yuhsThis groundbreaking project was over two decades in the planning. The journey began with Coodie, Kanye West’s courageous solo debut. It was released on Netflix in February to great global success.

Jeen-yuhs, a TIME Studios production, was created by Rebecca Teitel. Executive Produced and directed by Mike Beck, Alexa CONWAY, and Rebecca, with Lynne Benioff serving as co-executive producer. Like every great TIME project, countless people across departments were instrumental in the film’s success. (A special lawyer’s Emmy for Dana Rosen who helped guide the project from the beginning.) We are grateful to all who participated in the creation of this event. jeen-yuhsYour life.

As we get closer to TIME’s 100th birthday, jeen-yuhs and this latest Emmy nomination are another reflection of TIME’s impact and innovation as well as our team’s influence around the world.
