Syria accuses Israel of missile strikes near Russian base — RT World News

Following Israeli missile strikes against Tartus, Homs, and other targets, two Syrian soldiers were injured. There was also material damage to the region’s coastal area, which Russia owns a naval station.

“Our air defenses responded to an Israeli air aggression this evening, targeting some points in the central and coastal regions, and shot down most of the hostile missiles,”On Monday, the Syrian military spoke to the SANA state news agency.

A Russian naval base is located in Tartus, the port. The Russian Expeditionary Force is based in Syria and has helped Damascus defeat terrorists.
