Kamala Harris tested for Covid after exposure — Analysis
White House announces that US Vice President Kamala Harris was positive for Covid-19. She had spent the day visiting a colleague who later proved to have the virus.
Harris tested negative in both an antigen and PCR test after a staffer – who spent the day with Harris on Tuesday – tested positive on Wednesday.
This staff member was negative on daily blood tests up until Wednesday. “fully vaccinated and boosted and did not experience symptoms,”According to the White House, it was noted that “others who were in close contact with this staff member are being contacted and will be advised to get tested per CDC guidance.”
Harris will be tested for the virus again Friday and Monday. But, Harris will not need to be quarantined as she is already fully vaccinated.
An aide of President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. He had worked with Biden during the Air Force One days before. Biden was not tested for Covid-19 after the exposure. Harris also had negative results and did not have to be quarantined due to being fully vaccinated.
