Brazilian President Bolsonaro hospitalized — Analysis

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was admitted to hospital Monday morning with a suspicion of intestinal obstruction.

He posted a picture of himself on a hospital mattress. The 66-year-old posted a photo of himself lying on a hospital bed. He stated that he was feeling sick since Sunday’s lunch.

Bolsonaro was admitted at the Vila Nova Star hospital in Sao Paulo.

Bolsonaro spent the last four days of July in the same hospital. He was being treated for persistent hiccups as well as intestinal obstruction.

According to UOL news magazine, doctors considered surgery at the time, but ultimately decided against it because the president’s health improved.

Four surgeries were required to correct the injuries sustained by the politician after he was attacked during his 2018 election campaign. Also, he underwent a vasectomy and bladder stones were removed. Covid-19 was removed in 2020.

Dr. Antonio Luiz Macedo, who operated on Bolsonaro after the stabbing, said he was told by the president’s team that he was complaining about abdominal pain.
