Armored truck scatters cash on freeway (VIDEO) — Analysis

California’s freeway was halted as people tried to grab dollar bills from an armored truck. The authorities asked for the return of the money or they would face criminal prosecution.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the door of the car was opened by the California Highway Patrol and cash flew out.

“People stopped in the lanes, completely blocked the lanes, started picking up the cash,”According to a spokesperson from CHP

On social media, you can see jubilant passengers and drivers running to pick up any bills that were scattered along the road. Many were jumping up and screaming with money packs in their hands.

“This is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen! Somebody dropped their money everywhere on the freeway. San Diego has shut down,”A person spoke in the video.

CHP Sergeant Curtis Martin reported that two people were detained on suspicion of taking cash and blocking traffic. To avoid possible criminal prosecutions, he explained that the money belonged to Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. People should turn in the bills within 48 hours.

“If you found money on the freeway, it is not your money,”Martin stated.

Fox 5 TV reported that police were working with law enforcement to find the drivers who took the money.
