‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Cameos: Who Shows Up in the Movie
Spoilers are included for Marvel TV series and movies.
Thor: Love and Thunder There are many cameos throughout the movie. It was directed by Thor: RagnarokTaika Waititi is the director. He already stars many A-listers like Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and Natalie Portman (Dr. Jane Foster). It centers around Gorr, the Godbutcher (Christian Bale), kidnapping Asgardian children. Waititi and Portman play some of these roles.
A couple of familiar faces from the Thor films past make brief appearances. You might also like Thor: RagnarokBut before that, Thor: Love and ThunderFeatures a scene that combines a movie and a play, reliving the dramatic events of past Thor movies. A few A-list actors appear to play the roles of Thor, Loki or Odin.

Matt Damon, Actor Loki
Damon is back in his original role Thor: RagnarokLoki is played by Tom Hiddleston as an overeager actor.
Luke Hemsworth, Actor Thor
Chris Hemsworth’s brother, Luke, plays the actor portraying Thor in the same play-within-a-movie.
Melissa McCarthy is Actor Hela
Melissa McCarthy makes a surprise appearance as the actor portraying Thor and Loki’s sister Hela (played by Cate Blanchett in Thor Ragnarok).

Ben Falcone, Asgardian Stage Manager
Ben Falcone, who happens to be McCarthy’s husband, plays the stage manager of the Asgardian play moving all the hilariously low-tech (considering Asgardians are literal gods) props around.
Sam Neill plays the role of Odin
Get the latest news Jurassic World: Dominion, Waititi’s fellow Kiwi Sam Neill is the actor playing Thor and Loki’s dad Odin, portrayed by Anthony Hopkins in past Thor films.
Jaimie Alexander as Sif
Jaimie Alexander, who starred as Thor’s ally Sif in the first two ThorFilms had vanished from the series. She returns briefly to however Love and Thunder to tell Thor about Gorr’s mission to kill all the gods.
Darcy Lewis with Kat Dennings
Kat Dennings in Thor: The Dark World
Another mainstay of the early Thor films, Kat Dennings played Jane’s assistant. She memorably kept mispronouncing the name of Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, calling it “Mew Mew.” She has since completed her doctorate in astrophysics and pops up in WandavisionS.W.O.R.D., as one of their scientists. to study Wanda’s hex. In brief, she appears Love and ThunderJane will be able to come visit her during chemotherapy. Jane is encouraged to take a deep breath, share her concerns with others, and perhaps give Thor a call.
Stellan Skarsgård as Professor Erik Selvig
Stellan Skarsgård played Jane’s friend and mentor Professor Erik Selvig in the first two Thor films. Erik gets brainwashed in the first Thor films by Loki, and spends much of the film with Loki. Avengers mind-controlled. He experiences a mental crisis, then recovers to help the Avengers. Ultron. One scene shows him. Love and ThunderJane is available to discuss her diagnosis of cancer.
Idris Elba’s Heimdall—the all-seeing, all-hearing Asgardian god of the Bifrost Bridge—was Thor’s best friend and ally in all the previous Thor films. Heimdall is killed by Thanos in front of Thor at beginning of Avengers: Infinity WarHeimdall used his power to summon Hulk from Earth to alert Doctor Strange of the approaching alien invasion. Heimdall is allowed to enjoy the afterlife at Valhalla because he was killed in combat. Jane Foster is the last person to die in this story. Love and ThunderHe greets her in the end-credits scene at the gates to eternal afterlife.
Russell Crowe plays Zeus
Thor seeks help from all the gods after Gorr takes the Asgardian kids hostage. Russell Crowe portrays Zeus as Zeus the Greek god, who is also known for his lightning powers. Zeus turns out to be rather entitled and, when he gets into a tiff with Thor, disinvites him from the godly orgy that he’s planning.
Brett Goldstein as Hercules
In a mid-credits scene, Zeus complains that humans don’t respect the gods anymore. Instead, they worship superhumans. In order to show their power, he pledges to bring down lightning and terror to the Earth and recruits Hercules, his son. Brett Goldstein plays the legendary Greek hero. He is best known for his role as Roy Kent, a grumpy and sour-mouthed soccer player in Ted Lasso.
Guardians of the Galaxy
With a few additions to the Guardians Gang, it proves that you can have more.
End of Avengers: EndgameThor, the King of Asgard, gave his crown and took a ride in space with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The beginning of Love and Thunder he’s still hanging out with the motley crew. Chris Pratt (Starlord), Dave Butista (Drax), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Vin Diesel (Groot), and Bradley Cooper (Rocket) all appear (or, in the case of the CGI Groot and Rocket, “appear”) in the film. Zoe Saldana’s Gamora is still in the wind after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
India Rose Hemsworth is a Lover
In a twist at the end of the film, Thor agrees to adopt Gorr’s daughter as Gorr lies dying. In a voiceover, we learn that Thor and her are called Love and Thunder. Thor brings her home to make her pancakes and teach her about the super-hero. If it looks natural, there’s a reason: The little girl is played by Hemsworth’s own daughter, India Rose.
Tristan Hemsworth, Kid Thor
Hemsworth’s two other children also appear in the film. Tristan Hemsworth plays the role of Thor’s child avatar at the beginning, during the montage showing Thor growing up.
Asgardian Kid: Sasha Hemsworth
Yet another one of Hemsworth’s kids is among the Asgardian children captured by Gorr. Thor grants the kids powers to defeat the villain, which they use in the fight against Hemsworth’s children.
Asgardian Children: Aleph and Amalia Millepied
Love and ThunderIt was truly a family affair. Natalie Portman’s children were also among those featured in the group of kidnapped kids.
Matewa Kiritapu Waititi and Te Kainga O’Te Hinekahu Waititi as Asgardian Kids
In addition to featuring the children of the film’s stars, the director cast his own kids in the movie as well, again as Asgardian children that are captured by Gorr.
