Member of US Congress dies in car crash
Jackie Walorski (R, Indiana) was killed along with two employees in northern Indiana
US Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-Indiana) died on Wednesday in a traffic collision near Elkhart, Indiana along with two members of her staff and the driver of the other vehicle. Indiana Republican Jackie Walorski was the House Ethics Committee’s top ranking member.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, which responded to a call around 12:30 local time, Walorski and her staffers died as a result of their injuries. Driver of the vehicle was that “traveled left of center and collided head on”Their SUV was also destroyed on the spot.
Walorski, age 58, was accompanied in the vehicle by Zachery Potts, 27 from Indiana, as well as Emma Thomson, 28 from Washington, DC. Edith Schmucker (56 years old), was the driver of another vehicle. She is from Nappanee.
