Driver Crashes Into Oregon Homeless Camp, Killing 4

SALEM, Ore. — A driver crashed their vehicle into a homeless encampment in Salem in the middle of the night, killing four people and injuring three more, including the driver, the Salem Police Department said Sunday.

According to police, the crash occurred at 2 AM in the vicinity of Front Street Northeast and Division Street Northeast. It was not far from Willamette River.

At the time, two people were killed at the encampment. The hospital took four other people with life-threatening injuries to Salem Health. Two died in the hospital. Also, the driver was taken to hospital.

Officials are yet to release the identities of the victims, their conditions or the cause of the accident.
