75% of Democrats want Biden out in 2024 – poll — Analysis

According to a CNN poll, 75% of Democrats or Democrat-leaning votes want Joe Biden not to be their party’s representative in 2024. Hammered over his handling of the US economy, Biden’s approval ratings have dipped below 30%.

The survey was published on Tuesday and found that only 25% of Democrats want Biden back to run, compared with 45% who voted in February. 24% want him to duck out of the race as they think he can’t win, while 32% don’t want him back in office.

Enthusiasm for Biden is lowest among young Democrats, with just 18% of those under 45 preferring the 79-year-old as their party’s 2024 nominee.

The poll’s results are not isolated. An independent survey by University of New Hampshire showed that 31% of Granite State Democrats wanted Biden to run for president in 2024. Only 59% of Granite State Democrats opposed the incumbent. A Yahoo News/YouGov survey revealed earlier this month that only 18% Americans support the 2024 Biden campaign. 64% disagree.

Ex-White House doctor makes Biden prediction

Biden claims he will run for another term. But, there have been rumors of his cognitive decline that has fuelled rumors that Biden will be retiring after just one year in the White House. This is especially true among Republicans as well as conservative pundits. The New York Times has recently reported that Democrats are also having doubts. “dozens of frustrated Democratic officials”Legislators are hopeful that Biden will step down.

Biden’s enthusiasm for the presidency quickly waned after winning an election which was heavily contested by Donald Trump. With his opponents blaming record gas prices on his green energy policies and skyrocketing inflation on his unprecedented levels of government spending, Biden’s approval rate has tanked according to every major polling company.

This rate hit a record low of 29% in a poll by Civiqs earlier this month and, as of Wednesday, an average of five recent polls puts Biden’s approval at 38%, having trended steadily downwards since he took office last January.

Trump’s popularity is high, but his supporters are not as enthusiastic. CNN’s same poll revealed that 55% of Republicans want someone to run the party in 2024. This is up from 49% in February.

A Emerson College poll last month found that Trump would defeat Biden in the face-off between Trump and Biden again in 2024.
