Clinton Issues Order on "Internet Conduct"
"Working group" established to address unlawful conduct on the 'net August 11--On Saturday, August 7, President Clinton issued an executive order to establish a "working group" to monitor internet conduct and develop ways to address illegal use of the internet. The order names the "illegal sale of guns, explosives, controlled substances, and prescription drugs, as well as fraud and child pornography," as the target of the group. The group will be made up of among others, the Attorney General, Treasury Secretary, FBI Director, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms' Director and the Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
