Son of Lexington’s ‘Grinch,’ Peter Enrich,
Targeting Republican
Electors
Lexington residents watching the Fox News Channel in recent weeks recognized David Enrich in a feature about his targeting Republican presidential electors to persuade them to renege on their promises and vote for Al Gore. He is the son of the man who shut down Christmas on the Village Green this year, Selectman Peter Enrich.

When Will Globe Apologize to Katherine Harris?
In painting Florida’s Secretary of State as an evil woman, the Boston Globe totally ruined all semblance it ever had of an unbiased newspaper. When Katherine Harris made her decision – which was quickly affirmed by a Florida judge – the Globe reported in the very first paragraph of its lead story that her decision to place a deadline of 5 p.m. on the Florida vote was, according to lawyers for Gore, “unfairly imposed by a key supporter of George W. Bush.”

In the very next paragraph, it described the person who made the decision, Harris, as “a prominent Bush supporter.” In the next paragraph, it quoted Warren Christopher as saying the Secretary performed her duties “in a ‘partisan’ manner in an effort ‘to produce a particular result in the election, rather than ensure that the voice of all citizens of the state would be heard.’” In addition to that, the newspaper had a large feature story about her right underneath the lead story. It was four columns wide with a picture of the Secretary and it demonized her.

Too bad for the Globe that Judge Lewis decided within a few days that she was exactly right in her decision, but the paper continued to vilify her anyway.

DSS Orders 7-Year-Old Boy
Evaluated as Sexual Predator
DSS has ordered a 7-year-old foster child to undergo a psychological evaluation to determine if he is a sexual “predator” after he jokingly pulled down another boy’s pants as a prank. A separate evaluation will be conducted to establish if this childish playfulness is also indicative of his having been sexually abused himself. The allegations against the boy arose after the child’s mother filed a 51-A neglect report against his DSS social worker.

When the mother discussed the neglect problems with a Woburn policeman, the officer replied, “That’s typical for a foster home.”
