The link at bottom opens the directory of Massachusetts libraries. Some are not named for the town. (example: "Morse Institute Library - Natick.") Follow these tips (e-mailing libraries outside Massachusetts can normally be done from their web sites):

Click on the symbol for "e-mail" , " phone" and/or " form" contact. You can also click on the library's name  to contact the Periodicals Librarian and Library Director. If necessary, select the "directory" symbol to contact each of them:

Please send messages to each library in your area, and where you work, as well as to surrounding towns if you wish. Please send a blind copy to us at editor@massnews.com.

Copy and paste the suggested message below into the e-mail box that appears when you click on the e-mail link to a library or employee.  Then tailor our message to your own preferences. Add your name (and, if you wish, your phone number)

Suggested message (modify to your own preference):

To the Periodicals Librarian and Library Director:

I note that the library does not provide any copies of the Massachusetts News, though this newspaper publishes over a quarter of a million copies each month and is reporting stories of wide interest that are not available in other publications.

Many less read and less representative publications abound on the shelves.  As a taxpayer I would like to formally request that you take out a long-term subscription to The Massachusetts News, and archive back issues, beginning with 1999.

Subscriptions can be ordered at (888) 313 5525 or Massachusetts News Subscriber Services, P.O. Box 3000, Denville, NJ 07834-3000.

$25 a year is a small price for a little more diversity among our reading materials. Please respond to this request in writing.

Thank you.
