"Hepatitis B" Vaccinations Are Stopped For Babies
Massachusetts News
The mandatory vaccination of newborns against hepatitis B at Massachusetts
hospitals has been halted by the State Health Department.
In what it says is a temporary move, the state has urged the hospitals
to stop giving the shots to babies because they contain a preservative
that contains mercury.
A concern about these vaccinations was first expressed in the lead article
in the first issue of Massachusetts News. Some experts now say that
the mercury could be the causative agent for the nerve damage to babies
that was reported in the story.
