Activist on “Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth” Arrested
for Soliciting Homosexual Sex From
UMass Student
Speaker Sal DiMasi and Senate President Travaglini
are Complicit
William Conley,
who is not only a member of the new “Commission on Gay and Lesbian
Youth,” but also the lead lobbyist for the “Mass Gay and Lesbian
Political Caucus,” was arrested early last month in a sting
while soliciting sex from a UMass
Student.
The arrest had not
been publicized until the Boston Herald ran the story on Saturday.
The Boston Globe has still not reported it to its readers.
The
59-year-old lobbyist, who lives in Springfield,
had posted an ad on craigslist,
offering to help students with “expenses”.
When an undercover police officer from UMass
answered the ad, Conley propositioned him,
saying that he would pay between $50 and $150 for “oral
relief”. |
| Conley
has received $31,560 so far this year as a paid lobbyist for the
“Political Caucus” and was instrumental last week in the override
of Governor Romney’s veto of the new Commission on Gay and Lesbian
Youth. He has also been a member of the “Governor’s
Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth.” The new Commission, which
is no longer under the Governor’s oversight, permanently grants
two seats to the Political Caucus to serve the Commission in matters
regarding homosexual programs in public schools. |

the political caucus, Brian Camenker
says: “The MGLPC is as bad as it gets. They coordinate the lobbying
aimed at elected officials in the Legislature -- including the
disinformation campaigns and intimidation-tactics -- for the various
homosexual constituencies in the state, such as MassEquality
(promoting same-sex "Marriage"), GLSEN (promoting homosexuality
among children in the public schools), BAGLY (transsexualism
for kids), the Religious Coalition for the Freedom to Marry (wacky
churches for same-sex "marriage"), Boston Youth Pride
(more homosexuality for kids) and several others. They help decide
which pro-family reps will get targeted in the primaries and work
with other gay groups to coordinate millions of dollars to affect
state political races. “ |

Complicit in Helping Conley Reach Students

have been closely associated with Conley. Last week, we reported that DiMasi was honored by Conley’s Political Caucus for “strong
arming” Reps to approve the new Commission. The event that honored DiMasi
was a fundraiser, where it was expected to raise money to pay
for expenses such as Conley’s salary. |
Inasmuch
as the override vote that established the Commission, and the
party honoring DiMasi both happened after the arrest of Conley, there is
no doubt that DiMasi knew that he
was helping raise money for a sexual predator.
Conley
has been one of the most influential lobbyists in DiMasi’s life since 2003, when Conley was pulling strings
during the debate over a marriage amendment.
Conley’s influence
over DiMasi was also considered a key element to the July 12th,
2006vote of the Constitutional Convention to put off the vote
on Marriage until after the November elections. |
