Emile Goguen Plans to Remove Margaret Marshall this Year
Now
that the momentum has dramatically shifted behind the vast majority
of citizens who have always favored traditional marriage, Rep. Emile
Goguen is working with renewed vigor on his Resolution to Remove the
four judges who illegally imposed gay marriage on the state in the
first place.
The judges in
Goguen’s Indictment are: Margaret H. Marshall, John
M. Greaney, Roderick I. Ireland and Judith A. Cowin.
Goguen has
always said that everyone has known that the Legislature will vote
to Remove the judges if the legislators are allowed to vote, because
they know that it is what their constituents want. But the leadership
has refused to allow the legislators to vote.
The present Majority
Leader, Sal DiMasi (D-Boston) personally promised Goguen to permit
a vote but has not done so because he knows the Resolution would pass
if a vote were held. No one knows why the Democratic leadership is
so adamantly in favor of gay marriage that it has consistently violated
the state constitution since 2002 when it first refused to vote on
the Protection of Marriage amendment.
Now that the
SJC has stated that a proposed constitutional amendment to ban gay
marriage would be valid and Cardinal O’Malley has personally gotten
behind the amendment, it appears to be unstoppable.
Rep. Goguen believes
that the Removal of the judges is now inevitable if the voters continue
to be active.
