Tony Snow Should Remain as “Press Secretary”; President
Must Also Appoint a “Response Person” for Critics of President
The most dangerous person
to our nation now is Senator Charles Schumer who attacks the President
every night on national television
with no one responsible to respond directly to the Senator
by name.
It’s obvious why the “approval” ratings of the President are
not getting better. He is being attacked by Schumer every night without
answer to the lies and distortions.
The Senator is an excellent debater with a very high IQ who’s
attacking the President only because Schumer wants more
Democrats elected this year. The Democrats have put him in charge
of that tremendous responsibility. As a result, Schumer is dividing
our country by using our frustrations about the War Against Terror
for his own political purposes.
The Senator has forgotten 9/11 when he said about Bush: “He’s
been a real friend in this crisis,” and “We don’t need people taking
shots at him.” He realized then that this is a War, making statements
like: “This is Pearl Harbor, 21st century.”
When Schumer attacks the President every day on national television,
someone must answer him. Tony Snow should remain as the Press Secretary
but a “Response Person” must be appointed in addition.
Schumer works as a team with the New York Times and its owner,
Pinch Sulzberger, who is a close personal friend and helped elevate
Schumer from an obscure New York Congressman.
According to Sulzberger and his Times newspaper, the War Against
Terror is not a “war.” According to him, the word “war” is used by
Bush only for his own political reasons.
Tony Snow Does Not Understand He Must Defend President Against Attack
Bill O’Reilly said on Wednesday night
that the present arrangement with Tony Snow is not working. Tony was
politely interviewed again yesterday (Thursday) on the talk-show of
another Fox employee, Sean Hannity, who is also on Fox Television
every night on Hannity & Colmes.
In that interview,
Snow said he is looking forward to taking time this summer to be with
his family, which made many observers wonder if Snow understands that
we are at war. They wonder whether in the White House during WWII,
anyone told President Roosevelt they would be spending time with their
families during the summer months.
Although Tony did
not say that to O’Reilly, he left Bill wondering when he told him
that being Press Secretary was the “most fun job” that he ever had.
O’Reilly didn’t appear to agree that the awesome responsibility of
that burnout job would be considered “fun” by anyone who understood
the responsibilities of the job. That would be true, O’Reilly, indicated
for anyone, even if he is
in perfect health and not recovering from a serious bout with cancer.
At the end of yesterday’s
polite interview with Hannity, Snow was asked: “Are you going to spend
a lot of time [at the President’s home] in Crawford this summer?”
Snow replied: “No
but I’m going to spend some. I don’t want to reveal his [the President’s]
schedule at this point because we haven’t announced it. He’ll be there
some. Part of his Crawford
time I’m going to take off with my wife and kids.”
It must be noted
that Snow has only been working as Press Secretary for two months,
but he’s already planning his vacation. And his vacation plans do
not depend upon when the President will need protection from Senator
Schumer. Tony is going to take his vacation when the President is
gone. But during the “dull” holidays is exactly when the newspapers
and television stations will be looking for news, not when the President
is around.
One can be sure that
Sen. Schumer, Mary Pelosi and Sen. Reid will be attacking during the
holiday period.
