| Sen. Schumer’s Arrogance Is Higher than His I.Q. |
|
Senator Chuck Schumer demonstrated
yesterday that his arrogance is even higher than his extremely
high IQ when he tried to ignore a public statement from his state’s
Comptroller that Sen. Schumer would “put
a bullet between the president's eyes if he could get away with
it." |
|
Instead of immediately objecting to the public statement
made by his friend at a college graduation where the Senator had
just spoken, he remained quiet.
Worse, yesterday his friend, Pinch Sulzberger printed an
Editorial in the New York Times which attempted to protect the
Senator but only made things worse, since many of its statements
were falsehoods. But it showed that someone is worried about the
fallout to Schumer and they have good cause.
Yesterday’s (Monday) editorial said, among other things:
“[The Comptroller has] apologized to everybody -- President Bush,
Senator Schumer, the Queens graduates and their families.”
But that is not true. The Comptroller Alan Hevesi has not
apologized to President Bush or to the American people --- nor has Senator Schumer.
All that Hevesi did after the graduation was to call
a news conference later in the day in Midtown Manhattan after
he had conferred with advisors. At that news conference, he said
that what he had said was “incredibly stupid and moronic.”
According
to an account in the Times, “Mr. Hevesi apologized to President
Bush and Mr. Schumer, as well as to Queens College graduates and
their families ‘if I put any cloud over the joyous occasion.’”
We must conclude
that Charles Schumer believes that remark at a news conference
somewhere in Manhattan last Friday was a sufficient apology to
Pres. Bush for what the friend of his says Schumer would like
to do to the President of the United States: “put a bullet” between
his eyes. |
