Schumer Damaging Presidency on Hume

Chuck Schumer Had Fun Distorting and Damaging Pres. Bush Again Last Night, but Where is Tony Snow?
            Tony Snow was not to be seen yesterday even through the hired Senator of the New York Times, Chuck Schumer, was on all the television shows again last night attacking President Bush --- this time about rising gasoline prices.
            A federal agency released yesterday a study which echoed many previous reports over a period of many years, that rising gasoline prices to consumers was the natural result of worldwide market forces and not “price gouging” by U.S. oil companies.
            Everyone had known for weeks that when an impartial report was finally issued, it would document these facts, and everyone also knew that Chuck Schumer would act as he did.
            Anyone who watches the Brit Hume show had been told many times by Hume and the entire panel that this would occur. So why didn’t Tony Snow know? Why was no one prepared to answer Pinch Sulzberger’s personal friend?
            You can imagine the fun that Schumer had with this one. His leer was never more joyful than last night.
