How Will Snow Handle Senator Chuck Schumer?
	One big problem for Tony Snow will be the Democratic “attack dog,” Senator Chuck Schumer, whose leering face is seen almost constantly on every television show. The Senator does an excellent job of looking like a kind, old man when he attacks Pres. Bush on every subject. How will Tony deal with that hatchet-man?         Many observers know that Chuck Schumer is the private lackey of Pinch Sulzberger, the owner/chairman of the New York Times. It was Pinch who took this obscure New York Congressman and used the power of the Times to get him elected as a Senator.
Schumer is a close, personal friend of Pinch and was present at a celebratory party five days after Pinch presided over his first Board meeting at the Times. The party was mostly employees at the Times and a few friends, including Chuck Schumer.        Pinch later showed what the owner of the Times thought about Republican Senators when he arrived at a Park Avenue Halloween Party dressed as “Senator Putzhead” an obvious and intentional dig at Republican Senator Alfonse d’Amato, who had been ridiculed in liberal circles for using that name to describe a political rival. Sulzberger usually showed at such events with his Groucho hat which had a big penis for a nose.        Many are wondering what the friendly, lovable Tony Snow will do when the Schumers of the world start pointing and laughing at him.
