When Does Tony Take Charge?
Although
we have heard from some readers that Tony Snow has not
yet started his new job, our information comes directly
from the White House.
The caption to this picture taken on Wednesday,
April 26, quoted President Bush: “I appreciate Scott [McClellan’s]
offer to help Tony Snow prepare for his new job, and I’m
proud to welcome Tony as part of our team.”
Tony
responded: “I am very excited and I can’t wait. I look
forward to working with you.” |

Another picture of Tony shaking
hands with McClellan had the following caption: |
|
“Tony
Snow and Scott McClellan talk in the Oval Office Private
Dining Room before joining the President in his announcement
that Tony Snow is coming to the White House as the new
press secretary Wednesday, April 26, 2006. White House

Nothing
further has been added by the White House. |
Tony
Snow continues as our most important news because the future
of our country depends upon someone articulating the country's
views clearly and forcefully. That must be Brit Hume, not Tony
Snow who has been a "soft" liberal Republican, trying
to please everyone, including the Sulzberger family at the New
York Times and the Graham family at the Washington Post.
All of our problems
will immediately diminish if the President has a strong spokesman.
No one is more knowledgable about Washington nor more respected
(although not necessarily "loved") by the press than
Hume.
