Democrats Use Oil to Fool Gullible Voters
Democratic
Congressmen from Massachusetts launched a new offensive yesterday
to fool gullible voters about the rising price of oil.
Senator
Kerry and Congressman Marty Meehan released separate press releases
calling for investigations into price gouging and corporate tax breaks
for big American oil companies, contending that Pres. Bush has been
complicit in helping oil companies reap huge windfall profits at the
expense of consumers.
Meanwhile,
Congressman William Delahunt helped former Rep Joseph Kennedy (Ted’s
nephew) broker another deal for his “non-profit” oil company.
Although the company does not make a profit, this paper has reported
in the past that large salaries are paid every year to members of
the Kennedy family. Joe Kennedy, according to the Globe, draws a salary
of nearly $300,000. His cousin, Michael, before his death, drew over
$600,000 for his "charity" work. Their company is now dealing
with the hated dictator Hugo Chavez of Venezuela for more oil. Chavez
has also pledged to give financial aid to redevelop struggling neighborhoods.
When questioned
whether this was all just a political ploy, Rep. Delahunt said “"Let's
not continue to indulge in sandbox diplomacy. Let's try to tamp down
the rhetoric. He (Chavez) committed to an expansion both in terms
of the gallons as well as the geographic. I'm looking at the news
and there is $3.50 per gallon gas. Now is the time to do it."
