We Have Two Search Engines for Our Archives
Although
we have had two search engines for
our Archives for many years, we have failed to make that clear to
our readers.
With the advent of
a younger generation taking charge of MassNews since the retirement
last year of our founder, Atty. J. Edward Pawlick, many things will
change. An important one is that we can not donate our services as Atty.
Pawlick has done.
We will shortly be
charging for our Archives. Therefore, this is the time for you to take
advantage of this free service. It will not continue for long.
The two search services
we have available are:
● Google, which
is limited to Massachusetts News.
● Atomz.
Both search engines
have been on our website for years, but it was necessary to scroll down
a bit in order to discover that we have two. We believe that the Google
search is the superior one on our site. We personally prefer to use
it. Therefore, we have placed that one first. However, neither is perfect
and if you are not satisfied with Google, you should try Atomz before
giving up.
Be sure to notice on
the Google search that they will always put you searching their national
site unless you specify each time that you wish to limit their search
to Massachusetts News.
You will be amazed
how much information can be found here. A hint from Atty. Pawlick is
that he says his most thorough and complete stories were almost always
the first ones he reported. As he had to repeat them over and over through
the years, they usually lost the details which were in the first story.
So start searching
while this unique information is still available for free.
