Judge Marshall's Own Panel of Leading Citizens Has Studied
Her Courts and Said They Are a Disaster
By MassNews Staff
The court system in
Massachusetts is a disaster under Judge Margaret Marshall, says a panel
of leading citizens who were appointed by Marshall herself to study
the courts in the state.
After the panel made
its report in 2003 at the height of the debate over gay marriage, Marshall
began her "damage control" project immediately.
She didn't even release
the scathing Report to the press until she had first prepared a "Statement"
thanking the panel which was chaired by the Chancellor of Boston College
J. Donald Monan. Her "Statement"
was released with the "Report" on March 4, 2003.
Unlike Judge Marshall,
MassNews will reveal the full extent of the Report in the coming weeks
and then go beyond it to tell our readers how, unlike us, most states
in the nation have been able to have excellent court systems which are
also responsive to its citizens.
Airplanes and Radio Stations Tell about Terrible Courts
under Margaret Marshall
Although
the MCM airplanes will be grounded until tomorrow, they will continue
to have many consecutive days of clear skies for the rest of the week.
The new banners will be "flying billboards" with some letters
20 feet high, as compared to letters that were only 5 feet high from
last years banners. They are being manufactured by Aerial SuperSigns
and pulled by from Harry Nikitas of Fitchburg. The new "flying
billboard" will say:

The
message about our states disastrous courts under Margaret Marshall will
also be told by the state's radio stations. The radio ad will
be as follows:
CHIEF JUSTICE
MARGARET MARSHALL WAS NOT HAPPY THREE YEARS AGO WHEN A BLUE-RIBBON PANEL
SHE HERSELF HAD APPOINTED TOLD HER OUR COURTS ARE "MIRED IN CONFUSION",
"DYSFUNCTIONAL", IN
NEED OF "SWEEPING CHANGES".
THEY SAID "EMPLOYEES CRY OUT FOR LEADERSHIP," AND MORALE IN
COURTS AROUND THE STATE IS "NEAR THE BREAKING POINT".
THEY ALSO SAID BUSINESSES AVOID MOVING TO STATES WITH "SLOW UNSTEADY
COURTS". WE WERE RANKED BY LAWYERS AS 45TH IN THE
NATION.
JUDGE MARSHALL DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB OF DAMAGE CONTROL --- WITH HELP FROM
THE NEW YORK TIMES COMPANY AND ITS BOSTON GLOBE NEWSPAPER --- UNTIL
--- MARSHALL WAS HIT WITH THE SCANDAL IN GAY MARRIAGE AND HER PUBLIC PROMISE TO A HOMOSEXUAL LAWYER THAT
THE LAWYER WOULD WIN A GAY MARRIAGE CASE IF BROUGHT IN MASSACHUSETTS.
JUST A FEW MORE REASONS FOR REP EMILE GOGUEN TO REMOVE THIS JUDGE FROM
OFFICE BEFORE SHE EMBARASSES US FURTHER.

CITIZENS FOR MARRIAGE" THOUGHT YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.
