Arrival of August Has No Effect on Rep. Emile Goguen’s Resolution; Vote Will Take Place in 2005 to Remove SJC Judges Who Voted for Homosexual Marriage
By MassNews Staff

The arrival of August will have no effect on Emile Goguen’s Resolution to “Remove” the four SJC judges who voted in favor of homosexual marriage back in November 2003, Rep. Goguen tells MassNews.
A vote will be held in the House before the end of the year. House Speaker Sal DiMasi has assured Goguen that the vote will be held before the end of 2005 and Goguen fully expects that the Speaker will follow his pledge.
The only thing that will stop a vote to “Remove” the four judges (Margaret Marshall, John Greaney, Roderick Ireland and Judith Cowin) is if they resign first, according to Rep. Goguen, who believes they will resign.
The resignations are necessary to stop the destruction of the Democratic Party says Goguen who has been an enthusiastic Democrat for many decades. He notes that many Democratic pundits across the country have been blaming the defeat of John Kerry on Chief Justice Margaret Marshall and that pressure is growing.
The only way that the judges will be assured of keeping their pension benefits (which are said to be over $1 million each) is to resign before they are Removed by a simple majority vote of the legislature. If it becomes necessary, such a vote would divide the Party and seriously damage it, says Goguen.
(This has all been summarized many times by Massachusetts Citizens for Marriage and by MassNews. The best method of reading this is to search the archives for the words "goguen" and "resolution" in our search engine HERE .)

Bad Guys Hoping to Delay a Vote
“The bad guys are hoping to delay this vote until the citizens grow bored and tired of the issue as finally happened last year to the citizens in Vermont,” says Sally Pawlick, Founder/President of Massachusetts Citizens for Marriage.
“Therefore, all citizens are urged to keep the subject alive everywhere across the country.”
She notes that her husband, Attorney J. Edward Pawlick, founder of MassNews, has become a fulltime writer in order to publicize this across the entire nation.
“Ed is very enthused about the reception he is getting outside the state over his  book, ‘Libel by New York Times’, which tells how Pinch Sulzberger’s billion dollar conglomerate of the New York Times/Boston Globe is destroying America.
“And that message is being heard. The former CBS reporter, Bernard Goldberg, emphasized that strongly in his newest book, which lists Judge Marshall as seventh in his list of ‘100 People Who Are Screwing Up America’, close behind the owner of the New York Times, Pinch Sulzberger, who is listed as number 2 in the list of 100.
“What is very interesting (although not said by Goldberg) is that his first blockbuster book in 2002 talked vaguely about ‘journalists’, but actually mentioned only people in television. Out of the ten most dangerous in his new book, eight of them have been targeted by Ed. The only two in the top ten that have escaped his scrutiny are Michael Moore (number one) and Jimmy Carter (number six).
“Ed notes that while Goldberg is an excellent person, we must understand that he is still a New York City liberal and does not yet consider himself a conservative.”
