Lawmakers Push for Minimum Wage Changes
Rep. James Marzilli and Sen. Marc Pacheco host a press conference Tuesday to highlight proposed changes to the minimum wage laws a week before the committee hears such bills next week. The bill (H 3872) would raise the minimum raise to $7.50 from $6.75, tie increases to inflation, and establish a new commission to review the
rates on an annual basis.
Gov. Romney has voiced his support in the past for setting the minimum wage to rise with inflation rates. The Labor and Workforce Development Committee will hear minimum wage-related bills the week of June 6.
