Newsletters Sent to 80,000 Massachusetts Citizens Were Received Yesterday
The
newsletter
from Massachusetts Citizens for Marriage that encourages people to pray
for the of end gay marriage this month by the removal of the four SJC
judges who imposed it upon the state, were delivered yesterday.
In addition
to the newsletter, MCM also invested heavily in radio exposure to let
people know that we have a responsibility to pray for the end of gay marriage.
The
newsletter says: “Millions of people across the country are spontaneously
joining thousands of Massachusetts citizens to pray that a power stronger
than they removes homosexual marriage from Massachusetts” in the month
of January.
Although it
is difficult to quantify the number of people joining spontaneously in
this prayer effort, information has been given to MassNews that national
intercessory prayer groups have prioritized this issue for the next thirty
days. One such group is meeting at the State House on January 14, 2005
at 11:30 a.m. in Hearing Room A1.
Sally Pawlick,
President of Massachusetts Citizens for Marriage said: “We trust that
the ACLU will not send their ‘truth squads’ to the State House during
this meeting as they did in the Fall of 2001 when they physically violated
the voting rights of all the citizens of Massachusetts who were attempting
to sign petitions for the Marriage Amendment to protect traditional marriage
at the ballot box. The ACLU bragged that they had reduced the
number of signers by more than 80%.”
