Sec. Galvin Certifies Signatures for Ballot Initiative on Marriage

       Support for a ballot question regarding a constitutional amendment to define marriage as being between a man and a woman received 123,356 validated signatures, more than twice the necessary number to move ahead. This qualification means the marriage amendment proposal will come up at next year’s Constitutional Convention in May. If it gets approval by the legislature, it will ultimately get to the ballot.
