Letter to the Editor
We're All Wishing for a New Year Filled with Joy, Goodness,
Hope, Kindness, Love and Peace
It is very pleasing indeed to read
a newspaper, which gives the truth. From time to time, I read the Mass
News, and I find it regulates and balances the current issues of the
day. There are very few newspapers willing to challenge other papers
which have a slight bias or a major bias, depending on one's discernment.
I hope you will continue
to keep ringin' the bell as a "wake-up call" for America,
We need it. There are currently so many alarming issues, and I'm very
sure there are many Americans who thought they would never live to see
the day judges would decree same-sex marriages.
In the throes of the Christmas
buying and rushing, not many Americans are truly aware of the potential
damage that will transpire for this nation with runaway laws. I
sorely hope we do not end up a "shipwreck", or amuck by the re-writing
of fundamental laws that were put in our Constitution long ago.
It was said, perhaps two or possibly
three years ago, that by the signing of the death warrant on babies
--- the abortion bill --- over 1.5 million babies have been aborted
in America. I don't believe God is pleased. Pornography in every form
runs rampant.
And what will that produce? One can only imagine! Nothing good that's
of a surety.
The latest craze by the liberals,
or other groups which are heavily liberal is wishing everybody Happy
Holidays, rather than Merry Christmas. I suppose I'm a bit old-fashioned,
but I still love to say "Merry Christmas". There are millions
of Americans who still love to say it too. We celebrate Christ's birthday,
and I'm of a heart-set that I don't wish to take it away from Him. He's
the Reason for the Season. It's traditional and heart-warming. And,
who doesn't need a lot of that these days?
With the love of Christmas in our
hearts, and Good Will to others, this nation cannot help but soar to
new heights! Don't we truly wish this for America? For Americans in
all spheres on our planet? If we do, and I surely do, believe there
are ten thousands upon ten thousands of those who would agree with me,
we need to live by a right standard. And, don't we wish for a New Year
filled with joy, goodness, hope, kindness, love and peace? Of course,
we do. It's on the Christmas cards we send each year. Keep ringin' the
bell! A voice needs to be heard...perhaps even a trumpet!
"O Holy night, the stars are gently shining....it
is the night of our dear Savior's birth...long lay the world in sin
and error pining, till He appeared and the soul felt itsworth; a thrill
of Hope, the weary world Rejoices...for yonder breaks a New and Glorious
morn..."
