"Massachusetts Citizens for Marriage" in New Radio Blitz to Remove Judges

In a new campaign to raise awareness about the necessity of removing the four rogue SJC judges, "Massachusetts Citizens for Marriage" has begun a new radio ad- campaign which will be heard on radio stations across the state. It follows directly on the heels of a telephone campaign recently executed by MCM.

"In the past, a bell ringing in a community represented some type of call to action" explained Sally Pawlick, President of Mass. Citizens for Marriage. "This is no exception. People cannot afford to be indifferent to such egregious behavior by judges, nor such a cavalier position by our legislature. We need people to make it clear to their officials that there must be a price to pay for flagrant violation of our state Constitution."

The goal of the latest campaign is to inspire Massachusetts citizens to contact the speaker of the house, Sal DiMasi, and encourage him to follow through with his promise to bring Rep. Goguen's resolution on removing the four judges to a vote.

The text of the ads are as follows. The first two are available in audio format by clicking on the LISTEN TO THE AUDIO link after the text.

(Telephone bell ringing)
I'm Sally Pawlick, President of Mass Citizens for Marriage, ringing bells all over the state.
When will the politicians finally wake-up and understand that we citizens do not want gay marriage?
Tom Birmingham is gone. So is Shannon O'brien. John Kerry lost the presidency because he backed civil unions, another name for gay marriage. National Pundits blamed Margaret Marshall's ruling for Kerry's loss. Even Tom Finneran is a private citizen.
We're in an intense effort to remove Marshall and the three associate judges who made it a three-three tie. They made Marshall's plan possible.
If Marshall and those three judges resign now, each will keep all their retirement benefits. If we citizens are forced to remove them through a vote of the legislature, those benefits will be gone.
The politicians tricked us last time when we gathered 130,000 signatures for our amendment. We will not be fooled again. Let's heal and unify our state NOW, not wait until 2008. Help ring more bells all over the state.

(Bell Ringing)
Hello, I’m Sally Pawlick, President of Mass Citizens for Marriage.  Bells are ringing all over the state. We gathered over 130,000 signatures in 2001 to pass our amendment forbidding gay marriage, only to see the legislature violate the constitution and refuse to vote on it.

Over 500 citizens overflowed the house chamber in protest.   Remember?
We’re very active now, supporting both Rep. Emile Goguen’s resolution to eliminate gay marriage this year, and the new marriage amendment- which would do it in 2008.
Speaker Sal DiMasi has assured Rep Goguen that a vote will be taken this fall on his resolution. He is a savy leader who understands that he must have  the citizens of the state behind him.  The only way he’ll know is if you tell him.
Call speaker DiMasi today at 617-722-2500.  Ask him to take a vote on Rep. Goguen’s resolution.  That’s 617-722-2500.  Let’s ring bells everywhere.  LISTEN TO THE AUDIO

(Bell Ringing)
I’m Sally Pawlick, President of Mass. Citizens for Marriage, ringing bells everywhere.
Our Constitution requires Speaker DiMasi to take a vote this fall on Emile Goguen’s Resolution to remove the four judges who imposed gay marriage.
DiMasi’s already promised he will.  He’s an astute trial lawyer who has seen what happened to leaders before him who violated the Constitution.
Bills removing judges often die in committee, the powerful people are mainly lawyers.  They don’t like John Adams’ idea of removing oppressive lawyers who wear black robes and dominate us.

Sending Rep. Goguen’s bill to die in committee is not legal.   It is just another way to delay the process and thwart the people.

John Adams, the second president of our country wrote our constitution in 1780 before we had a federal government.  He had the wisdom to provide for the removal of oppressive lawyers.

Sal DiMasi’s a savvy leader.  He understands that citizens must be behind him.  The only way he’ll understand that YOU are demanding a vote is if you tell him.
Call Speaker DiMasi today at 617-722-2500.  Politely ask that he take a vote on Rep. Goguen’s resolution.  Let’s ring bells everywhere!
