Senator Magnani Not Running for Reelection Because He Knows He Would Lose
Sen. Magnani (D-Framingham) says he’s not running for reelection because he knows he would lose --- in that his support for gay “marriage” is very unpopular among his constituents.
“This demonstrates that there really is a ‘revolt’ going on this year,” said Sally Pawlick, President of Mass. Citizens for Marriage. “I have been told by a very reputable person that the Senator related this to him a year ago. Many of his constituents told him they could no longer support him, and he decided not to run again although he has no idea what he will do when he is no longer in the Legislature.
“But don’t expect the foremost advocate for ‘gay marriage’ in the country, the Boston Globe, to report this to you. Their owner, Pinch Sulzberger at the New York Times, won’t allow them to tell you about this even after the elections in November.”
Magnani has been in the Legislature since 1985, first in the House and then in the Senate since 1993. He has a doctorate in Education from UMass and has been a leader of many Committees.
