V I C T O R Y !!!

Your hard work, your phone calling, your sign holding, and (not the least) your donations paid off!  Homosexual groups put together a national effort to defeat seven pro-traditional marriage incumbents in Tuesday’s primary.  Literally, no one had ever seen anything like this.  But we held them back in 6 races.  Only in 1 race, where they put in extraordinary money and people, did they win by a sliver of 117 votes!

NEWS ITEMS:  (We’ve got a few good ones – scroll to the bottom to see them).

Here’s how the seven targeted incumbents fared:

[Note:  This was a well-coordinated joint effort by the homosexual groups. We found that in addition to getting funding through the same homosexual websites & other sources, they also coordinated their mailings.  It’s clear that all their mailings were produced by the same designers, and mailed from the same mail houses.  (And none of the mailings mentioned any gay issues!)  Also, they shared phone banks in downtown Boston where dozens of callers at a time could be working all day and evening.  BUT WE FOUGHT BACK! ]

1. VICTORY!!   12th Essex (Democrat) – Peabody

48% - REP. JOYCE SPILIOTIS (Peabody) - Supports bill of address

31% - ANNE MANNING - Endorsed by homosexual PAC21% - JOSEPH SILVA - Cooperated with gay activists

Comment:  Outside homosexual organizations paid for several mailings and brought in people from out of town & out of state.  According to one source, over $100,000 was spent by the gay groups and the candidate, Anne Manning.  Article 8 Alliance / Parents’ Rights Coalition did a press conference at Peabody City Hall and a mailing to all Democrat voters to inform them of Manning’s hidden agenda.  As a result, Spiliotis won every precinct in the district!

2. VICTORY!!   3rd Worcester (Democrat) – Fitchburg

71% - REP. EMILE GOGUEN (Fitchburg) - SPONSOR of bill of address

24% - SUSAN KOECK (Fitchburg) - Endorsed by homosexual PAC  5% - ADAM DESJEAN (Fitchburg) - Supports same-sex marriage

Comment:  Arlene Isaacson, head homosexual lobbyist on Beacon Hill, personally promised Goguen she would get him defeated.  Gay groups from outside the district brought in poll checkers, sign holders, etc., on election day – as many as 10 at every polling place.  We worked with Goguen’s campaign to deal with it.  The results speak for themselves.

3. VICTORY!!   28th Middlesex (Democrat) - Everett, Malden

51% - REP. EDWARD CONNOLLY (Everett) - Supports bill of address

49% - STEPHEN STAT SMITH (Everett) - Endorsed by homosexual PAC

Comment:  Gay groups also came out in force in Everett, but hard work by our side paid off!

4. NARROW LOSS!   34th Middlesex (Democrat) - Somerville, Medford

49% - REP. VINCENT CIAMPA (Somerville) - Supports bill of address

51% - CARL SCIORTINO (Somerville) - Openly gay, endorsed by homosexual PAC

Comment: Sciortino was in the news last year when he and his "partner" disrupted a Catholic Mass at the Cathedral of Holy Cross in protest of the Church's stand against homosexual marriage.  This was the “crown jewel” of the homosexual effort – knock off a pro-marriage Somerville rep.  Sciortino raised well over $50,000 for the race from gay funding across the country.  Other gay groups paid for multiple mailings that saturated the district every few days.     But the real difference was in manpower.  Precinct captains were clearly brought in from out of state, and were extremely well organized.  7-10 poll-watchers were at every district, along with sign-holders, delivery-people, etc.     The Ciampa campaign was reluctant to have us do an educational mailing to inform the voters, and as a result many voters did not know about Sciortino’s activities.  So we helped in other ways.  Still, Ciampa only lost by 117 votes!!

5. VICTORY!!   1st Norfolk (Democrat) - Quincy, Randolph

76% - REP. BRUCE AYERS (Quincy) - Supports bill of address

24% - PAUL MEONI (Randolph) - Openly gay, endorsed by homosexual PAC

Comment: Meoni is on board of directors of group that sends homosexual speakers to public schools with goal to make "the world free of homo-bi-trans-phobia."  Not a great selling point in Quincy.  But also, Ayers had a solid campaign and good organization.  We supplied some people, and steered donations his way.

6. VICTORY!!   17th Middlesex (DEMOCRAT) - Lowell, Chelmsford

57% - REP. DAVID NANGLE (Lowell) - Pro-family voting record

43% - KENNETH SHEEHAN (Lowell) - Endorsed by homosexual PAC

Comment:  Article 8 helped with people, and steered donations his way.

7. VICTORY!!   16th Worcester (Democrat) – Worcester

56% - REP. JOHN FRESOLO (Worcester) - Supports bill of address

44% - MELISSA MURGO (Worcester) - Endorsed by homosexual PAC

Comment:  Article 8 helped with people, and steered donations his way.

OTHER RACES, WITH GOOD CHALLENGERS UP AGAINST GAY SUPPORTERS.  Article 8 also helped out as much as we could in these other races with people, organizing, steering donations, calling, and other things.

VICTORY!!   6th Hampden (REPUBLICAN) - Chicopee, Springfield, W.Springfield

53% - DEAN VOGEL (West Springfield) - Supports bill of address

47% - KATIE HARRINGTON (West Springfield) - (see comment)

Comment: Dean Vogel fought hard against a pro-gay Republican.

VICTORY!!   7th Plymouth (REPUBLICAN) - Abington, E. Bridgewater, Whitman

84% - NED KIRBY (Whitman) - Supports bill of address

16% - JOSHUA HYRE (Abington)

Comment: Kirby’s a fantastic candidate who’s won in this district before.

TOUGH LOSS   9th Essex (DEMOCRAT) - Lynn, Lynnfield, Saugus, Wakefield

59% - REP. MARK FALZONE (Saugus) - Endorsed by homosexual PAC

41% - DEBRA PANETTA (Saugus) - Supports bill of address

Comment: Rep. Debra Panetta is a great candidate, and if she runs again will make a wonderful legislator.  Falzone is beatable, but this time got extra help from the homosexual movement.

TOUGH LOSS   13th Worcester (DEMOCRAT) - Worcester, Paxton

76% - REP. ROBERT SPELLANE (Worcester) - Endorsed by homosexual PAC

24% - BILL COLEMAN (Worcester) - Supports bill of address

Comment: Coleman is a another great candidate with good activist roots.  Spellane had too much momentum, but can be beaten.

TOUGH LOSS   15th Middlesex (DEMOCRAT) - Woburn, Arlington, Lexington

79% - REP. JAY KAUFMAN (Lexington) - Endorsed by homosexual PAC

21% - ED CROWLEY (Woburn) - Supports bill of address

Comment: Very difficult race – Kaufman was unfortunately very difficult to beat.  It’s too bad, because he’s really an insufferable elitist.

NEWS ITEM:  Boston Herald’s assessment of the primary  [Boston Herald–Sept 15]  Titled “Gay lobby's clout seen in incumbent's primary loss” this is very informative, but is slanted towards the reporter’s pro-gay bias.  And of course, even though the Herald knows quite well what we’re doing, they avoid direct mention of Article 8 Alliance. News Item: Homosexual groups are “warning” their activists about Article 8 Alliance / Parents Rights Coalition.  It appears that we’re ruining their plans to mold our Legislature, and that makes them a tad angry.  Click at: www.MassEquality.org/hot_salem.php  THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.  THE GENERAL ELECTION WILL BE MUCH TOUGHER!!!The gays have targeted several MORE incumbents, have more horrible candidates, are raising more money, and doing more and more organizing.  We can’t rest on our laurels – we must keep up the fight.  Otherwise. . . what will our legislature look like next year????  We are here to fight for you!  At this critical time, every dollar is desperately needed and greatly appreciated.
