Rep. Emile Goguen Is Victorious Over Homosexual Challenger

Although the Boston Globe did not report individual races in yesterday’s Primary Election, we believe the following is accurate. If not, we will advise you of any changes.
Rep. Emile Goguen (D-Fitchburg) had a huge victory over his challenger yesterday, with early returns showing him with a 70% lead.
Of the seven other Democratic incumbents backed by the Article 8 Alliance, all appear to be successful except for Rep. Vincent Ciampa (D-Somerville) who was challenged by Carl Sciortino, an open homosexual who protested with his “partner” at a Catholic Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross last year. The Globe reported that Ciampa represented an “increasingly liberal and gentrified district.” But the truth is he represented a district which has seen many homosexuals overflow from neighboring Cambridge, as many more have moved into Massachusetts.
The successful incumbents who appear not to be damaged by supporting the Bill of Address or supporting family values were:

Rep. Joyce Spiliotis (Peabody)

Rep. Edward Connolly (Everett)

Rep. Bruce Ayers (Quincy)

Rep. John Fresolo

Rep. David Nangle

The challengers against the following Democratic incumbents were unsuccessful:

-- Debra Panetta against Rep. Mark Falzone (Saugus)

-- Ed Crowley against Rep. Jay Kaufman (Lexington)

-- Bill Coleman against Rep. Robert Spellane (Worcester)

In the Republican races:

-- Ned Kirby, Whitman, was winning by a large margin in early returns.

-- Dean Vogel was successful in West Springfield with a concession coming from Katie Harrington, who works for DSS and was supported by the Republican Senate Leader Brian Lees, a big supporter of “gay marriage.”
