Alan Solomont Is Clearly a Player among the Bosses Ordering Speaker Finneran
By MassNews Staff
Most people are agreeing that Alan Solomont is clearly a player in the political bosses who are telling Speaker Tom Finneran to promote homosexuality and “gay marriage.” Whether Solomont is the only such person is uncertain.
-- Solomont is connected at the highest level of the Democratic National Committee, which is the most strident promoter of homosexuality in the country.
-- His partner, according to the Globe, in the new, ad hoc group to promote John Kerry among Jews across the country, Steve Grossman, was also the backer of Gov. John Dean, who jumped to an early lead in the Democratic Primary because he had a lot of unidentified money.
-- Both Solomont and Grossman believe that: “Bush offers very little on every important social issue.” Although they talk in code, it is clear that the most important “social” issue to the Democrats is “gay marriage.”
-- It is unclear where the large amounts of money from “across the world” are coming from that are flowing through the State House, but many Democratic legislators are concerned about it.
-- Large amounts of money are Alan Solomont’s profession. He was in charge of money at the Democratic National Committee as its Finance Chairman, and raised all the money for the DNC.
-- He is wealthy himself, having given $422,000 to Democrats from 1997 to 1999, but that is a pittance of what he can demand from others who want some largesse from the federal or state government.
-- He is still well connected, having the President of the United States, Bill Clinton, come to his Weston home twice in 1999.
-- He is brazen. It is clear that he is used to giving orders and having them obeyed. When it became public in 2000 that as a Director of WGBH, he was giving the names of its donors to the DNC, he defended the practice and blamed it on Republicans. He said that if they gave more federal money to WGBH, he wouldn’t have to stoop to such nefarious tactics.
-- He has tremendous power at WGBH, probably the most influential station in the PBS network, where he continues as a Director despite his 2000 scandal which toppled the President of PBS in Washington.
-- He had his wife ensconced at WGBH for 15 years where she also was an expert in money, being its chief fundraiser.
-- He was protected during the 2000 scandal by Pinch Sulzberger, owner of the New York Times, who also is extremely wealthy and the prime advocate of “gay marriage” in Massachusetts and across the nation. Sulzberger entered into his agreement with Margaret Marshall in July 1999 that she would be appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court, from which she would see that homosexual “marriage” would be accomplished in Massachusetts. As owner of the Times and Boston Globe and an outspoken liberal Democrat from New York, who travels in the highest political circles there, Sulzberger has been able to protect Solomont in everything ha does. Sulzberger is stridently pushing the Party to support “gay marriage.”
-- Channel 2 has been supportive of homosexuality and “marriage” throughout this period, for example, with the daily Emily Rooney show at 7 p.m. and with dramas from England at 10 pm about homosexual love affairs with explicit sexual scenes.
What about Finneran?
So the question remains: Why does Speaker Finneran allow himself to be bossed in this manner. For two sessions, 2002 and 2004, he helped violate the state Constitution. He broke the law in order to promote homosexuality and “gay marriage.” Is this for some “higher good” that we mortals are unable to understand?
And why does the chief lobbyist for the Catholic Church go along with these violations of the law that also violate the most basic tenet of the Church?
Those are very interesting questions that many are now struggling with.
