Must React at the Ballot Box It’s good that the citizens reacted against the legislature this year as they did, says Sally Pawlick. “We will never have to wonder again if we should have worked more closely with Speaker Finneran. It is now sadly obvious that he will do anything to help the homosexual causes, even violate the basic rules of our society two years in a row in order to do so. We will never have to wonder again.” Pawlick says they will have to work very hard this year to get many new faces on Beacon Hill. “We did some work in 2002. We totally destroyed the ‘king’ of Beacon Hill, Tom Birmingham. He himself says he lost the Governor’s race because of his illegal actions against marriage, and Cheryl Jacques chose not to run again after we targeted her district. At that time, we were not trying to influence elections; we were just getting the word out across the state. “This year we will be directly targeting candidates and trying to elect those who will be truly responsible to the voters, not ‘professional’ legislators. They will not seek to become a part of the ‘Beacon Hill family,’ whose only goal is to keep the Speaker happy so they can get a reward of some sort and remain a happy member of his family.” |
