Rep. Travis Joins Emile Goguen on Radio Ads

Representative Philip Travis (D-Rehoboth) will be joining Emile Goguen on radio ads on WBZ and other radio stations calling for a vote on his Bill of Address to Remove Margaret Marshall who assured the lesbian attorney, Mary Bonauto, she would win if she filed her lawsuit for homosexual “marriage” in Massachusetts. The ads are on WBZ, WEZE, WTTT and WROL.

I’m Rep Philip Travis, Democrat of Rehoboth.   I filed a Resolution in the Massachusetts House to remove Margaret Marshall from our Supreme Court
for assuring the filing attorney in the same-sex marriage case that she would win if she filed here in the Massachusetts Court system.

Some say my Resolution goes too far and will cause judges to fear ruling honorably.

NONSENSE!    Never before have we had a judge on our highest state court promise an attorney how she would rule on a case prior to ever receiving the appeal.   This is a breach of the highest order and we cannot just ignore it.

The man who put the removal of judges, a process called “Bill of Address” into our State Constitution in 1780, John Adams, knew there would be oppressive judges … and he also knew that the Constitution would be useless words if we were not alert citizens who obey the rules.

We must have a vote of all 160 Representatives on my Resolution, but the leadership of the House has not yet allowed this to take place.  Our democracy will be meaningless if we allow judicial malfeasance in our highest court.

Tell Speaker Finneran and Representative Scaccia, Chairman of the Rules Committee, that we must have a vote of all Representatives on this resolution as required by our State Constitution.
